Hi Bernie,
No auto off feature on the Nutrimill. I’m not aware of any unbiased grain mill reviews. Just the tons of individual reviews all over the net, usually on sites selling them… like mine.
The best I’ve been able to do on organic grain prices is buying in 25 – 50 lbs bags of it through a local food co-op. They get it straight from the regional food distributor and only mark it up 10%. My local health food type grocer, who gets their stuff from the same distributor, will also get it for me in bulk bags and discount it to me by 15% which ends up being about the same as the co-op. I live in a small town, so Tulsa aught to offer something like that. Check around to see if you can find a food co-op. They are often run just by an enterprising individual organizing something for a group of friends and it ends up growing into a small business out of their home. Or ask your health food store to help you out.
The problem with ordering organic whole grains via mail order is you get clobbered on shipping. Good luck on this. I only use organic whole grains and mill myself and really glad I have a decent source for grains.
Does this have an auto-off feature? Is there a consumer report that rates different grain mills? Thanks for the feedback. Also where does one buy organic grains at a reasonable price. I live in Tulsa, OK. Thanks, again. Bernie P.
