|Couldn't Make Bread Without it! (5/5)||Nov 29, 2013||Patti Johnson||Lawrence Ka US|
This dough scraper is TRULY THE BEST!! It works great at scraping and scooping dough and cleans up very easily and hangs on my wall in my kitchen for easy access. I highly recommend this product!
NOTE: I haven't used it to divide any dough yet but I plan to. Oh, yes. I plan to... It's definitely got a hard enough edge to it where it would be great to divide some dough for rolls and breads that require kneading! :)
|perfect! (5/5)||Mar 19, 2011||eric williams||river grove il US|
|I'm sure that the other 2 scrapers available here are very nice but this one is outstanding. I ferment in a plastic OXO bowl and this fits into its contours perfectly. I do not own plastic/silicone spatulas because they always degrade into your food eventually. They would do the job just fine here but this is perfect. Fits wonderfully in the hand and the hole is good for hanging from my cabinet door handle temporarily to dry after washing. I use this EVERY DAY.|
|Another great tool (5/5)||Nov 9, 2013||Richard Decker||Rockaway NJ US|
|What makes this a really different scraper is that the metal core keeps the overall tool stiff, but the surrounding edge is pliable, like a wiper. The stiffness allows it to easily handle stiffer dough pre-ferments and the softer edge wipes the sides and bottoms clean in the flat bottom storage bowls I use. It's a great design, especially for dough users.|
|Great Kitchen Hand Tool (4/5)||Apr 7, 2013||Jim Warner||Sacramento CA US|
|This dough scraper is a ruggedly made silicone tool. Fits in my larger hands, it's stiff enough to scrape down dough in my mixing bowls and is useful in getting bread out of the baking pan or cloche. And its red!|
|It really is NICE! (5/5)||Jan 25, 2011||Jennifer in BreadLand||Toronto on CA|
|I didn't think I needed another dough scraper, but ordered this on an impulse. Who could resist a "really nice dough scraper"? Indeed, the metal plate core makes this much stiffer than it looks, yet its silicone exterior gives it the flexibility to smoothly pull out the contents of your mixing bowl. Plus, the silicone is heat-resistant: in a pinch (ie lost spatula), I have used this to turn naan on a cast-iron skillet (probably not recommended) and even move breads around on a baking stone in a hot oven. It LOOKS like an ordinary scraper, but this is the one you'll grab first for so many kitchen tasks!|
