Dough and Storage Bucket w/Lid – 2 qt. Square

Two of these square containers will fit nicely without crowding in the Brod & Taylor proofing box. The plastic is very durable.

Was looking for container for dough proofing that would fit in my proofer. I make sourdough weekly and had been using two pyrex 2.5 liter bowls and the shelf in my Brod & Taylor. With these buckets I can make four loaves at a time.

I still mix the dough in the larger bowls and move to these buckets to proof.

Not something that’s necessary and I usually try to avoid plastic, but this makes things easier. In fact, I have the round bucket as well and haven’t figured out which I like best.

Transferring the dough to the bucket means the mixing bowel can be cleaned quickly. The translucent plastic and the rulings make it easy to see how much the dough has risen. The dough doesn’t stick to the bucket so it’s easy to remove the dough after it finishes rising. Cleanup for the bucket is literally a few seconds. Let the dough dry on the bucket and then just brush it off the plastic.

Only thing to note is that 2 quart size is good for 4 cups of flour. I just ordered the larger bucket for larger recipes.
